WHAT IS SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION?
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP®) is an innovative, solution that replicates the appearance of thicker, fuller hair. Specially trained practitioners apply a proprietary formula of pigment (ink) to the scalp with micro-fine needles to create thousands of tiny impressions, giving the illusion of hair, similar to the artist’s technique of stippling. This affordable solution can also be used to enhance an existing hair restoration or provide an alternative to individuals who want a non-surgical treatment suitable for all types of hair loss. Scalp Micropigmentation practitioner applies highly specialized pigments using a multitude of different needle sizes, penetration depths, angles, pigment colors and distribution rates depending on the specific area of the scalp being treated at the time, the skin tone of the individual and the desired final appearance. The SMP technique is a highly advanced form of cosmetic pigmentation. The needles used for SMP do not penetrate as deeply as they do with some other techniques, and we use tested pigments that do not blur or fade overtime. We use micro-fine needles in triple clusters to achieve the guaranteed consistency of results that the SMP technique demands.
WHAT CAN SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION DO FOR YOU?
Thicken the Appearance of Hair
Add Definition to Your Hairline
SMP can provide definition for full front, side and rear hairlines as well as restore a front hairline for full or partially bald heads. For those with a shaved head or no hair at all, the result is the look of a close shave or buzz cut style. SMP is an effective camouflage to conceal scars, whether from a prior surgical procedure or accident, as well as burns or birthmarks. Ideal for women with diffused thinning, often non-candidates for hair transplantation. Scalp Micropigmentation provides the appearance of a fuller head of hair. Scalp Micropigmentation is great for hiding patches where the scalp is visible through your hair.
